Goodbread Laundry is a family-owned business built on the belief that a laundromat should be more than a place to wash your clothes — it should be a place that feels like home.1659 NW 3rd Avenue is a corner of Historic Overtown that has served Overtown as a laundromat since 1959. We inherited a legacy, and we've made it our mission to honor it.

Goodbread Alley was once one of Overtown's most storied streets — a tight-knit block known for the warmth of its residents and the sense of community during its heyday as the "Harlem of the South." Overtown was a place where Black-owned businesses thrived, where jazz greats played after-hours, and where a strong, resilient community built something extraordinary against the odds. Naming our laundromat after Goodbread Alley is our way of paying tribute to that history — a small but meaningful nod to the people and the pride that shaped Overtown.

Every detail, from the design to the finishes, was chosen thoughtfully, as an investment not just in our business, but in the community that has trusted this corner for over six decades.
